Maharashtra Tour of Central Election Commission to Prepare for Upcoming Assembly Elections

New Delhi : Officials from the Election Commission of India will visit Mumbai from September 26 to 28, 2024, to review preparations for the upcoming Maharashtra Assembly elections. On September 27, the commission officials will hold in-depth discussions on election security with various political parties, SPNOs, nodal officers, and CPMF representatives. Following this, a meeting will be held with enforcement agency officials. On the same day, the commission will also engage in important discussions with the state Chief Secretary, Director General of Police, and senior police officers.

Election preparations will be reviewed with the Collectors and Superintendents of Police on September 28. Afterward, a press conference will be held by the Election Commission of India, as mentioned in the Commission’s letter.
