Woman is head of the house in the Family Digital Card

  • Ration, Health and other scheme details will be included in the single Family Digital Card
  • Family households will be determined based on currently available data
  • Field level study on a pilot project from October 3

Chief Minister Sri A Revanth Reddy ordered the officials to consider a Woman as the owner of the house and other family members will be mentioned on the back of the digital family card which is being issued soon in the state.

The Chief Minister conducted a review on issuing the Family Digital Cards (FDC) at the State Secretariat on Saturday. The authorities gave a PowerPoint presentation on the study on family digital cards conducted in Rajasthan, Haryana, Karnataka and Maharashtra from October 25 to 27. The officials explained to the CM the details collected from the states and the design of the cards and also the advantages and disadvantages.

After reviewing the use of family digital cards in other states, the CM gave orders to the officials on the design of family digital cards. CM Revanth Reddy suggested that families should be identified on the basis of the available data in the existing ration cards, Rajiv Arogyasri, IT, agriculture and other welfare schemes. The Chief Minister instructed the officials to adopt the best practices in the design and issuance of cards from the other states and also rectify the defects. The CM suggested the officials stop collecting unnecessary information like bank accounts and PAN cards.

The government will launch a pilot project to Issue family digital cards in two habitations in every assembly segment

The Chief Minister instructed the officials to submit the details related to the compilation of the information of the family details with updates in the form of a report to the cabinet subcommittee consisting of ministers – N Uttam Kumar Reddy, P Srinivas Reddy and Damodara Rajanarasimha. The CM also asked the officials to prepare a comprehensive list of items which are to be added and deleted as per the recommendations of the Cabinet Sub-Committee.

The Chief Minister instructed the officials to identify two areas ( two rural areas in the complete rural segments and two Wards or Divisions in urban segments) in all 119 Assembly Constituencies for taking up issuing family digital cards on a pilot basis. The authorities have been asked to conduct the field study (door to door) in the selected areas on a pilot project from October 3 based on the available data regarding the identification of families and details of family digital cards.

CM Revanth Reddy asked the officials to appoint RDO rank officers in every rural assembly segment and Municipal Zonal Commissioner rank officials in the urban segment to monitor the survey of the identification of the families in the pilot project. The CM instructed the state Chief Secretary to appoint the senior officials, who been appointed to monitor the floods in the recent heavy rains, as the Monitoring Officials ( Supervisors).

The Chief Minister warned that the field-level inspection should be carried out thoroughly and accurately to ensure that no errors are reported. Ministers- N Uttam Kumar Reddy, Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, Damodara Raja Narasimha, Ponnam Prabhakar, Adviser to the Chief Minister Vem Narender Reddy, Chief Secretary Santji Kumari, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister V. Seshadri, Special Secretary to the Chief Minister Ajith Reddy, Chandrasekhar Reddy, Chief Minister’s Secretaries Sangeeta Satyanarayana, Manik Raj, Shanwaz Qasim, Chief Minister OSD Vemula Srinivas and officials of various departments also participated.
