Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of a total of 49 development works worth Rs 87 crore 25 lakh 77 thousand on the occasion of the inauguration of Jal Jagar Mahotsav at Pandit Ravishankar Reservoir Gangrel in Dhamtari district on October 5. These include the inauguration of 33 works worth Rs 65 crore 84 lakh 91 thousand and the foundation stone laying of 16 works worth Rs 21 crore 40 lakh 86 thousand.
The works to be inaugurated include 4 works worth Rs 30 crore 94 lakh 49 thousand under Nagar Palika Nigam Dhamtari, 4 works worth Rs 26 crore 39 lakh 33 thousand under Public Works Department, 2 works worth Rs 4 crore 20 lakh 8 thousand under Electricity Department, 6 works worth Rs 1 crore 52 lakh 73 thousand under Health Department, 9 works worth Rs 1 crore 39 lakh 88 thousand under Janpad Panchayat Nagari, 5 works worth Rs 1 crore 13 lakh 40 thousand under Rural Mechanical Services Division and 3 works worth Rs 25 lakh under Janpad Panchayat Dhamtari.
Chief Minister Shri Sai will lay the foundation stone of 16 works worth Rs 21 crore 40 lakh 86 thousand. In these, the foundation stone was laid for 2 works worth Rs 7 crore 41 lakh 96 thousand under Public Works Department, 3 works worth Rs 6 crore 37 lakh 14 thousand under Municipal Corporation Dhamtari, 2 works worth Rs 4 crore 40 lakh 62 thousand under Water Resources Division Dhamtari Code 90, one work worth Rs 1 crore 86 lakh 53 thousand under Housing Board, 4 works worth Rs 93 lakh 48 thousand under Rural Mechanical Services Division, 3 works worth Rs 25 lakh of Janpad Panchayat Dhamtari and one work worth Rs 16 lakh 13 thousand under CREDA.
