₹6.15 Crore to Be Allocated from the Smart City Fund for Ajmer City.
Jaipur : Following the directives of Vidhan Sabha Speaker Shri Vasudev Devnani, the deadlock over drainage and road construction on Kachhari Road in Ajmer has been resolved. The Finance Department has approved the disbursement of ₹6.15 crore from the Ajmer Smart City fund for this project. Work on both the drainage and road improvements on Kachhari Road and the Elevated Road will commence soon.
Shri Vasudev Devnani had been advocating for the construction of drainage systems and roads along Kachhari Road and the Elevated Road. Local residents, traders, and community members informed him of the hardships they faced due to the work stoppage. He directed the establishment of coordination among Ajmer Smart City Limited, the District Administration, and RSRDC to initiate the work.
On Thursday, the Finance Department issued orders following Mr. Devnani’s direction. The order states that, as per RSRDC’s proposal, Ajmer Smart City Limited has released an administrative and financial sanction of ₹252 crore for the primary work on the Elevated Road in Ajmer.
According to RSRDC, the drainage work under the Elevated Road, as well as the service and slip road work, is budgeted at ₹6.15 crore. The Chief Executive Officer of Ajmer Smart City Ltd. has granted administrative and financial approval for this amount for the drainage work under the Elevated Road, as well as for the service and slip road work.
For the fiscal year 2023-24, Ajmer Smart City Ltd. received ₹49 crore from the Government of India, which is scheduled for release in the same year. This department has also released the state’s proportionate share of ₹30 crore. Therefore, the ₹6.15 crore financing for drainage work under the Elevated Road, along with the service and slip road work in Ajmer, will be drawn from this ₹30 crore allocation. The release of these funds will facilitate the prompt commencement of work on Kachhari Road.
