Akanksha Rani, a girl from a special backward tribe will play in the BCCI Under-19 T-20 Trophy

The passion for cricket can be seen not only in India but in every state and district of India. The daughters of Jashpur are also seen in this passion. The daughters of Jashpur have started waving the flag of the district not only at the state but also at the national level. A similar story is of Jashpur’s cricketer Akanksha Rani. She belongs to the special backward tribe Pahadi Korwa community. Akanksha Rani has played the BCCI Trophy in Under-15 for Chhattisgarh. This time Akanksha Rani has come to play the BCCI T20 Trophy in Under-19 for Chhattisgarh. While playing in this, Akanksha Rani has scored the most runs from Chhattisgarh’s side.

Akanksha Rani is the daughter of Pandari Bai, the hostel superintendent posted at the Pre Matric Girls Hostel Ichkela in Jashpur district. Her mother told that when her daughter Akanksha Rani was young, she saw her interest in cricket and got her good level coaching. Akanksha has achieved fame at the national level. Then when she looked at the girls in her hostel, she found hidden talent in all of them like her daughter and decided that she would create a better future for those girls too.

He further said that he got a practice pitch constructed in the hostel itself and also bought better cricket equipment for the children and started training the girls through his daughter and her coach. Soon the results started coming out, one by one the talent of all the girls of the hostel started coming out and 03 girls of Pre Matric Girls Hostel Ichkela have been selected in the Under-17 team of the National Women’s Cricket Team, winning the silver medal by performing well in the State Level School Sports Competition 2024-25 Women Under-17 held in Ambikapur. The selected players include Angel Lakra, Jhumur Tirki and Varsha Bai. Who will participate in the upcoming Women’s Under-17 National Cricket Competition 2024-25.
