Grand cultural program organized in Bastar Madai and regional Saras Mela
On the occasion of Bastar Madai and regional Saras Mela, a grand cultural program was organized on Thursday evening at Lalbagh Maidan, Bastar. In this program, famous bhajan singer Hansraj Raghuvanshi won everyone’s heart with his melodious performance. Thousands of spectators present enjoyed this program thoroughly.
Hansraj Raghuvanshi, who is known for his ballads and bhajans, made the entire atmosphere devotional with his tunes and songs full of devotion. He presented one popular bhajan after another along with his famous song “Mera Bhola Hai Bhandari”, which included Jai Shiv Shankar, Mere Bholenath and many other famous songs. During his performance, Raghuvanshi appealed to the audience to cooperate in the song and participate with applause, and the audience also helped equally. In the program, Hunarbaaz Malkhamb performance of Narayanpur’s famous Abujhmad Malkhamb Academy, presentation of Badal Academy and local folk dance groups also performed. Along with the people of Bastar who reached in thousands of numbers, people from the neighbouring districts and the state of Odisha had also reached there.
The Bastar Madai and Saras Mela area, organized by the government and the district administration, was also bustling with activity, where the exhibition of departmental schemes and the products of self-help groups and stalls of handicrafts attracted the attention of the people. The crowd that came to the fair not only enjoyed the cultural program, but also experienced the rich folk culture and crafts of Bastar. This Bastar Madai and regional Saras Mela has been organized with the aim of promoting the culture, tradition and art of the state and other states. The presence of artists like Hansraj Raghuvanshi made this event even more special. On the evening of Friday, October 18, there will be a performance by Dayara Band and on October 19, there will be a performance by National Film Award-winning playback singer Monali Thakur and singer Shabab Sabri for the song ‘Moh Moh Ke Dhaage’. Along with this, a wonderful performance will also be given by the local folk dance groups.
At the end of the program, the audience thanked Hansraj Raghuvanshi for his performance and praised the organizer Chhattisgarh Government and the district administration for organizing this wonderful cultural festival. The district administration presented the symbol of Bastar Madai to singer Shri Raghuvanshi as a souvenir. On this occasion, MP Shri Mahesh Kashyap, Collector Shri Haris S, Superintendent of Police Shri Shalabh Sinha, CEO District Panchayat Shri Prakash Sarve and other eminent public representatives and officials were present.
