Guardian Minister Sudhir Mungantiwar expressed hope that Chandrapur district will be top in the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign.

Chandrapur : Guardian Minister Sudhir Mungantiwar expressed hope that Chandrapur district will lead the state in the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign. The tricolor flag of India was first hoisted on August 16, 1942, in Chimur, Chandrapur district, during the ‘Chalejav’ movement. This district had the honor of witnessing the first taste of freedom in the country. As a land of martyrs and historical significance, it is essential to revive the bright memories of India’s independence and remember those who sacrificed their lives. Minister Mungantiwar emphasized that the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign should be viewed not just as an activity but as a symbol of patriotism. He suggested that Chandrapur district should aim to be at the forefront of this campaign’s success in the state.

A review of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign was conducted by Minister Mungantiwar at Nijojang Bhawan. During the meeting, he stressed the importance of every citizen in the district participating in the campaign by respectfully hoisting the tricolor flag at their homes from August 13th to 15th. He remarked that just as Chandrapur district was the first to hoist the tricolor in pre-independence India, it should now be a leader in this campaign as well. It is our duty to uphold the honor of the Indian tricolor. The flag should be hoisted at 9 a.m. on August 13th, kept up for three consecutive days, and respectfully taken down before sunset on August 15th. To facilitate this, relaxations have been made in the flag code to allow for nighttime hoisting. Resident Deputy Collector Sanjay Pawar gave a presentation during the review meeting.

‘Selfie Point’ for Citizens

The district administration should ensure that the tricolor flag is available to all citizens. Additionally, government buildings should be adorned with attractive electric lighting as part of the campaign, and patriotic songs and messages should be broadcasted. The installation of ‘tricolor selfie points’ in large numbers is also recommended. Citizens are encouraged to upload selfies with the tricolor flag on the website ‘harghartiranga.com’. When distributing flags to citizens, the administration should consider having them write a resolution as well, as suggested by Minister Mungantiwar.
