Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel Addresses Citizen Grievances in State SWAGAT Online Session

Gandhinagar : Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel apprised district collectors and development officers that a significant portion of citizens’ grievances are effectively addressed at the taluka and district levels, thereby mitigating the need for escalation to the State SWAGAT program. He emphasised the necessity of further strengthening this system to ensure that citizens do not have to travel to Gandhinagar to seek resolutions through the State SWAGAT initiative.

In this context, he mentioned that if issues like obtaining land verification certificates for farmers or removing encroachments from public roads are resolved at the district SWAGAT level by the local administration, it would prevent citizens and farmers from needing to visit Gandhinagar for the State SWAGAT program.

During the State SWAGAT session, the Chief Minister addressed the grievances presented by the applicants and promptly issued appropriate directives to district collectors, development officers, and relevant departments to ensure the quick resolution of these matters. In this session, several issues were brought up, such as those related to urban development, revenue, roads and buildings, compensation for land acquisition for people affected by the Narmada project, and the removal of illegal constructions.

CM urged district administrations to take strict action on matters like illegal constructions and errors in land measurements. In today’s edition of the State SWAGAT online public grievance redressal, presided over by the Chief Minister, a total of 12 issues were raised. During October, across the state, district, taluka, and village levels, 54.76% of the 2,732 grievances were successfully resolved. The CM was accompanied in Gandhinagar by Chief Secretary Shri Pankaj Joshi, Shri M.K. Das, Secretary Smt. Avantika Singh, and senior officials from the Chief Minister’s Office. District collectors, District Development Officers (DDOs), and other district administrative officers participated in the session via video conference.
