Union Minister Mr. Bhupender Yadav Inaugurates Alwar Sports Festival Under Fit India and Khelo India, Participates in Alwar Tiger Marathon Run

Jaipur : Union Minister for Forests, Environment, and Climate Change Mr. Bhupender Yadav arrived in Alwar on Saturday and paid tribute to the martyrs at the Shaheed Smarak in Company Bagh. After that, Union Minister Mr. Yadav inaugurated the Alwar MP Sports Festival under Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi’s Fit India and Khelo India initiatives and flagged off the Alwar Tiger Marathon run. During the event, Union Minister Mr. Bhupender Yadav also participated in the Alwar Tiger Marathon. The run started from Company Bagh and covered a distance of 2 kilometers, finishing at Indira Gandhi Stadium.

Union Minister Mr. Yadav said that the MP Sports Campaign has been initiated in Alwar inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He emphasized that Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi has promoted the importance of yoga in the country and the need for physical fitness. He stated that being fit is essential for everyone, as those who are healthy excel in all aspects of life. He further added that the promotion of sports should reach every village, and for this, he has decided to focus on three key areas. He mentioned that the development of women and increasing their income is being carried out through Self-Help Groups. Prime Minister Mr. Modi has set the goal that the country’s overall development can only be achieved when we work for the empowerment of women in rural areas through skill development and capacity-building programs, which are being implemented through the V Shakti initiative. V Shakti means that we all are a force together.

Union Minister Mr. Bhupender Yadav further highlighted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Fit India and Khelo India movements. Regarding sports events, he said that he is present here to call upon the entire parliamentary constituency and urged everyone, including village panchayats, to construct stadiums in every village.

He explained the meaning of Khelo India Ask-U, stating that A stands for Alwar, S for MP, K for Khel (sports), and U for Utsav (festival). He added that in the first week of February, a grand sports Mahakumbh will be organized. He said that efforts would soon be made to turn the Alwar marathon into an International Tiger Marathon to bring Alwar onto the national map. He also mentioned that cricket, which has become a popular sport, will have block-level competitions in February. The winning teams will compete at the district level. He said the registration for this competition would begin in the first week of December.

He noted that Alwar offers an amazing view of nature, has a tiger reserve, and is located near Delhi. To bring it onto the international map, hosting international events is crucial. Therefore, he expressed his intention to make the Alwar marathon an international event.

During the event, Kathumara MLA Mr. Ramesh Khinchi, Ramgarh MLA Mr. Sukhvanta Singh, several eminent personalities, and a large number of local people were present.
