Lunglei HPC Vice Chairman V. Malsawmtluanga Presents MLA Running Trophy in Pangzawl Zone

Lunglei : Today, Lunglei High Powered Committee (HPC) Vice Chairman and Lunglei North MLA, Mr. V. Malsawmtluanga, presented the MLA Running Trophy during the Pangzawl Zone Football Association’s final match in Pangzawl.

The final of the MLA Running Trophy football tournament was held at Pangzawl GSA Playground No. 1. Mr. Malsawmtluanga spoke about the purpose of the MLA Trophy, which was introduced to encourage sports development in Pangzawl Zone and Vanva Zone. He emphasized the importance of football in developing discipline, teamwork, and perseverance.

In the Under-12 final of the Pangzawl Zone FA MLA Running Trophy, Keltan FC defeated Ramrikawn FC 3-0 to become the champions. Lalsiamliana of Keltan FC was awarded the Best Player of the match.

In the senior final, FC Rawpui and Ramrikawn FC played a 2-2 draw, and FC Rawpui triumphed 6-5 in the penalty shootout to win the championship. Lalruatdika of Ramrikawn FC was named the Best Player, while Anthony Lalrawngbawla of FC Rawpui was recognized as the Top Scorer. KL Hmingthanga of FC Rawpui was awarded Best Goalkeeper.
