PM Awas Yojana Fulfills Mrs. Makmain’s Dream of a Permanent Home
Sukma : The Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) has turned the dream of owning a permanent house into reality for economically weaker families in rural areas. Under the guidance of Collector Shri Devesh Dhruv and District CEO Smt. Namrata Jain, the scheme has provided secure and permanent homes to poor and needy families, improving their lifestyle and dignity.
A Dream Come True – A Permanent Home
Mrs. Makmain Raini, a resident of Chhindgarh Panchayat, Chhindgarh block, once lived in a thatched house made of mud and straw. However, under the PMAY-Gramin scheme, she now resides in a permanent home, leading a comfortable and secure life with her family. She never imagined that her family would have their own dream home, but this scheme has brought positive change to her life. Expressing her happiness, Mrs. Raini said,
“The house I received through PM Awas Yojana is nothing short of a dream come true for my family. Earlier, we struggled in our old house made of mud and straw, where rainwater would leak through the roof. A permanent house was a necessity for us.”
Financial Support Through PMAY
With the approval of a PMAY house for 2024-25, Mrs. Makmain’s dream of a solid home has been fulfilled. She also received 90 days of wage payment through MGNREGA as part of the scheme’s convergence. Now, she and her family enjoy a safe and comfortable home without worrying about extreme weather conditions.
“Thanks to this house, we no longer fear the cold, heat, or rain. My family can now live with dignity and security,” she added.
Gratitude to the Government
Expressing her gratitude to the central and state governments, Mrs. Makmain thanked them for providing permanent and safe housing to poor families like hers. She also extended her heartfelt thanks to Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai and the district administration for helping her secure a better and dignified life through the PMAY scheme.
