A Mother and Son Collaboration
By Mira Pawar.
We often hear about various collaborations among friends, siblings, and numerous other relationships, but one of the most remarkable is the bond between a mother and son. A shining example of this is

Dr. Kiren Chakravarty Sumanth and her son Rajeev, who co-authored a book of poems. During the book launch of “Introspection – Thinking Thoughts” held in the Jade Room at the Courtyard Marriott Convention Centre in Hyderabad, the duo showcased immense pride in each other’s achievements. Also present was Capt. J D Sumanth, who was in complete admiration of his wife Dr. Kiren, and son Rajeev. Following his Mother’s footsteps, Rajeev demonstrated his talent through his contributions to the book “Introspection – Thinking Thoughts.” This apparently is Dr. Kiren’s fourth book.
Dr. Kiren Chakravarty Sumanth’s writing journey started during the pandemic, when there was ample of time on hand to think about. As a result, she published two books on poetry.

“A Ray of Thoughts- Soch Ki Kiron” was composed during pandemic when many people were experiencing significant anxiety and stress. At a time like this, hope and positive attitude were the only two things that could bring solace, and through the poetic verses in her first book she tried to open a door for optimism. This book of poetry is dedicated to the Covid warriors who have selflessly and relentlessly cared for the afflicted. Her second book “Array of Thoughts-Reflection of Today and Beyond” is based on how hope can sustain a person during challenging times. Her third book titled “surely I will survive” is based on climate change and its harsh impact on the world.

Dr Kiren Chakravarty Sumanth is a doctor by profession and runs a diagnostic centre in Secunderabad. Even though the diagnostic centre takes a lot of her time, she manages to pursue her passion for creative writing. She is a great admirer and lover of nature. Her books of poetry revolve around nature and she connects human nature to mother nature. She also helps her son Rajeev with his venture Umang Consulting and Training Centre for personality building, where they are training candidates to work towards their aspirations. They also encourage homemakers to realise their dreams and help economically underprivileged students and women to face the world with more confidence.
Dr Kiren along with her husband Capt. J D Sumanth and their son Rajeev Sumanth, once created and choreographed fashion shows for prestigious Institutes. Initially, it was a hobby but their commitment grew so profound and engaging that it became a primary outlet for relaxation. What an extraordinary family-each member brings so much to the table. Kudos to them for their creativity and dedication.
