Budget Announcements Should Be Implemented on Time – Energy Minister
Review of Development Plans in Sangod Region, Key Directives Issued
Energy Minister Heeralal Nagar emphasized that budget announcements should be completed within the stipulated timeframe to ensure timely implementation and maximum public benefit. He made these remarks on Monday while reviewing the implementation of new budget announcements and the progress of last financial year’s budget commitments for the Sangod Assembly constituency at the Kota Collectorate Auditorium.
Ensuring Road Access to Every Farm
Minister Nagar stressed that ensuring road connectivity to every farm is a priority, urging officials to actively visit panchayats and facilitate road construction. He directed that existing routes should be recorded in revenue records to enable work under MGNREGA.
Simplifying KYC Process for Farmers
The minister instructed officials to eliminate pending cases related to the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme. He emphasized appointing dedicated staff for KYC verification and organizing camps to resolve issues, ensuring that farmers do not face difficulties and no eligible farmer is left out.
Adequate Power and Water Supply During Summer
Directives were issued to ensure uninterrupted electricity and water supply during summer. The minister noted that if distribution is increased, pressure and pipeline capacity should also be enhanced. He also directed authorities to deploy tankers and hand pumps where necessary and reviewed water resource management projects, including:
- Flood diversion in Simliya
- Waterlogging and flood prevention in Vinod Khurd
- Water conservation at Sawanbhado Dam
He also assessed the ongoing and proposed canal strengthening projects under CAD, directing that dilapidated culverts be repaired and adequate bridge width be ensured.
Implementation of Solar Power Initiatives
The minister directed immediate land allocation for the PM Suryaghar and Adarsh Solar Village schemes and new GSS (Grid Sub-Station) projects.
Ensuring Doctors’ Presence in Rural Areas
Reviewing health and medical services, he instructed that doctors must stay at their designated headquarters in rural areas. Health center upgrades should utilize existing infrastructure efficiently.
Expediting Bus Stand Construction
The minister reviewed the progress of the proposed roadways bus stands in Digod and Kanwas, instructing that work commence immediately. He also directed that:
- Public transport services be expanded on essential routes
- Private buses operate only on permitted routes
- Passengers should not be overcharged
Additionally, he ordered that Anganwadi centers be operated within school premises.
Ensuring Quality in Public Works
Reviewing development projects under the Public Works Department (PWD), the minister stressed high-quality construction and directed that sewerage line work should use cutters for road cutting. Special attention should be given to road repair quality.
Organizing Camps for Farmers’ Assistance
District Collector Dr. Ravindra Goswami instructed officials to ensure compliance with ministerial directives. He also emphasized organizing camps to assist farmers and resolving road access issues through field visits and public hearings.
The meeting was attended by Kota District Chief Mukesh Meghwal, Sultanpur Pradhan Krishna Sharma, Sangod Pradhan Jaiveer Singh, along with senior administrative, police, and departmental officials.
