Lord Shri Ram Taught Humanity the True Values of Life – CM Devendra Fadnavis

Pune – Lord Shri Ram is revered by all as a divine being. Yet, without relying on his divinity, he overcame the mighty demon king Ravana by seeking the help of animals, birds, and vanaras (forest dwellers). Through this, he showed that an ordinary person, if fighting for truth, is destined to win. Lord Ram truly gave mankind the values to live a meaningful life, stated Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.

He was speaking at the Sakhi Geet Ramayan and Sita Swayamvar event held at the Ganesh Kala Krida Rangmanch in Pune. The event began with the ceremonial worship of Lord Shri Ram’s idol, performed by CM Fadnavis. Present at the occasion were MP Dr. Medha Kulkarni, MLAs Bhimrao Tapkir and Hemant Rasane, President of Sadguru Shankar Maharaj Math Dr. Mihir Kulkarni, Chitra Deshpande, and others.

Highlighting the unique greatness of Lord Shri Ram among historical icons, CM Fadnavis remarked that Ram’s life exemplified intelligence, composure, values, and ideal governance. He urged everyone to live their lives based on the values laid down by Lord Ram.

He further praised Geet Ramayan as a remarkable program. The verses composed by G.D. Madgulkar and the soulful melodies composed by Sudhir Phadke (Babuji) bring to life various emotional moments from the Ramayana — joy, sorrow, tears, laughter, and more. CM Fadnavis also expressed his delight that such a performance was being held in Pune on the eve of Ram Navami.

Dr. Mihir Kulkarni delivered the welcome address, while Supriya Godbole conducted the event. The program witnessed enthusiastic participation from a large number of citizens, especially women.
