CM Sai Met Prime Minister & Home Minister in Delhi, Discusses State’s Current Situation
“Chief Minister Said After Emergency – Congress Killed Democracy”
Raipur: Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah today in the Parliament House premises in Delhi to discuss the current situation in Chhattisgarh. Mr. Sai also met with NDA’s Lok Sabha Speaker candidate Om Birla and dined with the newly elected MPs from the region.
Talking to the media after the meeting, CM Sai said, “I met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, during which I apprised them of the current situation in Chhattisgarh.”
On the 49th anniversary of the Emergency, the Chief Minister remarked that the Emergency was imposed on June 25, 1975, during which time all non-Congress leaders were jailed. They had to remain in jail for up to 19 months, and many people’s families were ruined. This event was undoubtedly a murder of democracy and marked a dark day, which is why the BJP is commemorating this day as a black day. It is significant that Vishnu Dev is currently on a tour of Delhi, during which he is meeting with the Prime Minister, Home Minister, senior Union Ministers, and senior party leaders.
