NDMC Clears Backlog to Provide Benefits to 9652 Employees
New Delhi : The New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) has successfully cleared its backlog and provided benefits to 9652 employees. The benefits include the Modified Assured Career Progression (MACP), Leave Travel Concession (LTC), Child Care Allowance (CCA), Wage Fixation under the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC), Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) approvals, Recruitment Rules (RR) updates, and resolutions of pension matters.
To address this backlog, the Chairman of NDMC directed the formation of special teams working in two shifts, including weekends. The morning shift operated from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, and the evening shift ran from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. As of the night of July 1, 2024, the entire backlog has been cleared.
Details of these cases are as follows:
- MACP/TBPS scale adjustments: 3258 cases
- LTC pending cases: 175
- Child Care Allowance: 368 cases
- Wage Fixation under the 7th CPC: 5423 out of 5555 cases
- Pension cases: 88
- Recruitment Rules updates: 180
- DPC approvals: 15 out of 23 cases
- Death-related cases: 5
The total number of employees benefitted is 9652. More than 90 officers were deployed round the clock to address this significant backlog. Both infrastructure and manpower were utilized to their maximum capacity to complete this task.
