Odisha Opens Online Admissions for Higher Secondary Schools for 2025–26 Session

The Directorate of Higher Secondary Education, Government of Odisha, has officially announced the commencement of online admissions into Class XI for the academic session 2025–26. Applications are invited through the Student Academic Management System (SAMS) for Arts, Science, Commerce, Upashastri, and Vocational streams in Higher Secondary Schools affiliated with CHSE (O) and Shree Jagannath Sanskrit University, Puri.

To be eligible, students must have cleared the High School Certificate (HSC) Examination conducted by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha, or its equivalent.

The online application process begins on May 24, 2025, at 2:00 PM, and will close on June 30, 2025, at 11:45 PM. Applicants are required to register on the SAMS portal (www.samsodisha.gov.in) and submit the Common Application Form (CAF) after thoroughly reading the Common Prospectus (CP). The CAF fee is ₹200 for General Category and ₹100 for ST/SC applicants. However, there is no fee for Persons with Disabilities (PwD), transgender applicants, and orphans with valid documentation.

Applicants must retain a printed copy of the CAF and payment receipt for future reference. Original documents will be verified during admission at the respective Higher Secondary Schools.

The First Selection Merit List will be published on July 7, 2025, at 11:45 AM. Admission updates and applicant reporting at schools will take place from July 8 to July 14, 2025. Class XI will officially commence on July 24, 2025.
