Digital Revolution: Technology-Driven Transformation in Chhattisgarh

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, Chhattisgarh powers ahead with Digital India

Raipur : Chhattisgarh is rapidly transforming into a digitally empowered state under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, contributing significantly to the dream ofDigital India. With forward-looking policies and technological innovations, the state is revolutionizing the delivery of government services — from the secretariat to the grassroots level in gram panchayats.\

Atal Digital Service Centres in 1,460 gram panchayats are now enabling direct cash withdrawals for elderly pensioners and women beneficiaries of the Mahtari Vandan Yojana. With Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) funds being disbursed locally, rural citizens no longer need to travel to distant bank branches.

Following the successful implementation of the e-Office system in the secretariat and directorates, the system is now being rolled out at the district level as well. This is a significant step toward reducing paperwork, enhancing administrative speed, ensuring transparency, and expediting decision-making. The introduction of 10 digital services has made land registration easier and more transparent. Citizens can now register land and houses from home via Aadhaar-based authentication, and the mutation process is completed automatically after registration.

In a major administrative reform, geo-referencing of 14,490 villages has been completed. This initiative aims to resolve land-related disputes using precise location-based data. For the 2025–26 Kharif season, over 14,000 villages have been selected for digital crop surveys. Furthermore, revenue cases are being resolved efficiently and within set timelines through e-Courts, and real-time monitoring of government schemes is being carried out using the Atal Monitoring Portal. To enhance transparency in government procurement, the GeM portal has been made mandatory, increasing fairness and accountability in public purchases.

For state pensioners, administrative processes have been simplified and digitized. Essential documents like e-PPOs, GPF statements, final payment orders, and pension certificates are now available via DigiLocker. Government employees can now update their service records digitally through the Employee Corner mobile app and web portal.

Chhattisgarh is keeping pace with global trends in Artificial Intelligence (AI). With the establishment of the country’s first AI Data Center Park in Nava Raipur, the state’s digital economy is set for accelerated growth. This move is poised to establish Chhattisgarh as a significant hub for AI-based services in India.

To ensure the benefits of digital services reach all segments of society, particularly in tribal areas, the CGMSC (Chhattisgarh Medical Services Corporation Limited) is using an app to track real-time drug supply chains, ensuring timely delivery of medicines and enhancing the effectiveness of healthcare services.

The online transit pass facility provided by the Mining Department has brought greater efficiency and transparency to the transportation of minerals. Meanwhile, the launch of the CMO (Chief Minister’s Office) Portal has strengthened the communication bridge between citizens and the government.

Chhattisgarh’s suite of digital services is not only enhancing administrative efficiency but also significantly improving the quality of life for its citizens. From villages to cities, people from all walks of life are experiencing the benefits of this digital revolution.
