BDD Chawl Residents to Receive Flats Soon
Mumbai, Aug 2025 : Infrastructure projects should be completed within a stipulated timeline after being undertaken. Projects should not drag on for years; they must reach completion within three years from initiation, instructed Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
CM Fadnavis conducted a review of various infrastructure projects in the Chief Minister’s War Room. The meeting, held in the Cabinet Hall of Mantralaya, was attended by Chief Secretary Rajesh Kumar, Chief Economic Advisor to the CM Praveensingh Pardeshi, Additional Chief Secretaries, Principal Secretaries, and Secretaries from various departments. Divisional Commissioners, District Collectors, and senior officials from different departments joined via video conferencing.
In the third War Room meeting held today, the CM reviewed the current status of 30 projects. In the earlier two meetings, a total of 33 projects were reviewed, with decisions taken on approximately 135 issues. Implementation updates on these decisions were presented during the meeting.
Housing Projects Near Metro Terminal Stations
CM Fadnavis emphasized that with advanced technology at hand, projects should be completed in shorter timeframes. Obstacles faced in the completion of metro projects in Mumbai and across Maharashtra must be addressed promptly. Housing projects should be developed near the terminal stations of metro lines. A robust and efficient mechanism is essential to ensure timely completion of metro and other infrastructure projects. The Chief Minister also directed immediate fund disbursement for metro and other vital projects.
Implement War Room Decisions Without Delay
While implementing infrastructure projects, ensuring their timely completion should be everyone’s priority. Instead of maintaining separate dashboards, all project updates should be recorded on the CM Dashboard. This dashboard must be regularly updated with real-time data, and decisions taken in the War Room meetings to resolve issues must be fully implemented before the next meeting. Any crucial matters should be escalated to the Cabinet meetings for prompt resolution.
In case any obstacles persist after decision-making, the War Room must be informed immediately so that those hurdles can be swiftly addressed. CM Fadnavis instructed all officials to ensure serious and timely execution of War Room decisions and projects.
He also mentioned that the distribution of flats to residents of BDD Chawls in Worli will commence soon. Similarly, residents of Naigaon and N.M. Joshi Marg Chawls will be allotted flats within the stipulated timeline.
