Group Art Exhibition Inaugurated

Aizawl, Aug 2025: A joint initiative of the Information & Public Relations Department and the Mizoram Art Development Society (MADS), a group art exhibition titled “Art of Infinity” was inaugurated today by Mrs. C. Lalremruati, MIS, Protocol Officer, GAD, at the Art Gallery, Lianchhiari Run, Directorate of I&PR, Treasury Square. The exhibition is open to the public.

Speaking at the inaugural function, Mrs. C. Lalremruati lauded the young artists for organizing such a remarkable exhibition and said that it clearly reflects the significant progress being made by the Mizo community in the field of art. She added that Mizo artworks are gaining value and recognition, and the market for local artists is expanding. She encouraged artists to continue engaging in art workshops, exhibitions, competitions, and residencies within and outside the state, which would further strengthen their creativity and exposure.

The I&PR Department and MADS, she said, are committed to the growth of art in Mizoram, and the leaders of MADS were urged to extend their initiatives to districts across the state.

The Group Art Exhibition showcases 75 artworks, including one wood carving and several miniature paintings, created by six members of Art of Infinity: Zomuanpuia, Roluahpuia, Lalremdika, Lalthansangi, Laldinmawia, and F. Malsawmzuala.

The exhibition will remain open to visitors from August 19–23, 2025, between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM, and artworks will also be available for sale.

At today’s inaugural programme, Mr. Vanlalhriata, President of MADS, delivered a welcome address, while a formal report was presented by Mr. Zomuanpuia.
