Education Department Officials Must Prioritize Teaching: Minister Mr. Gajendra Yadav

Raipur, Aug 2025 : School Education, Cottage Industries, Law, and Legislative Affairs Minister Mr. Gajendra Yadav stated that educating children and providing quality education is the government’s top priority. He directed officials to pay special attention to the quality of teaching in schools and to make teaching the focal point of departmental operations. Minister Yadav was addressing a review meeting of the School Education Department today at the Mantralaya Mahanadi Building. He mentioned that the future of society and the state is secured through education, and therefore, regular monitoring of studies in schools is the responsibility of every official in the education department.

In-depth Knowledge of School Conditions is Necessary

Mr. Yadav instructed education department officials to maintain complete and up-to-date information about the condition of every school in their area. They should conduct regular inspections of schools and maintain dialogue with principals, head teachers, and teachers. He emphasized that the quality of education in schools can only be ensured through the active involvement and responsibility of officials.

Annual Calendar for Teacher Training to be Created

Education Minister Mr. Yadav directed officials to ensure the preparation of an annual calendar for teacher training programs. He stated that training sessions should be held during the summer vacation period to avoid disrupting school teaching activities. He also noted the necessity of familiarizing teachers with new techniques, innovations, and modern teaching methods during the training.

Emphasis on Inter-departmental Coordination

Mr. Yadav clearly stated that all officials associated with the education department should work with mutual coordination and team spirit. He mentioned that departmental schemes and programs can only be made effective when officials, teachers, and school management work together with a shared vision.

During the meeting, Secretary of the School Education Department, Mr. Siddharth Komal Pardeshi, provided information about the departmental structure, schemes, and programs through a PowerPoint presentation. The discussion also covered major schemes being implemented in the department and their progress. Ms. Renu Ji Pille, Chairperson of the Secondary Education Board, was also present at the event. Senior officials from various organizations related to the department, including Samagra Shiksha, SCERT, Secondary Education Board, Textbook Corporation, Madrasah Board, Directorate of Public Education, Sanskrit Vidya Mandalam, Scouts and Guides, NCC, and other offices associated with the School Education Department, presented information about their departmental activities.
