Uttarakhand Government Signs Letter of Intent with Germany’s Innovation Hub RheinMain in Presence of CM Dhami
Aug 2025 : In the presence of Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami, a Letter of Intent (LoI) was signed on Friday at the Chief Minister’s residence between the Uttarakhand Government and Germany-based Innovation Hub RheinMain.
The purpose of this agreement is to connect skilled youth from Uttarakhand with opportunities in Germany across sectors such as healthcare, automobiles, vocational training, hydrogen and renewable energy technologies, and innovation-driven startups.
Chief Minister Dhami said this initiative is a significant step toward linking the youth of Uttarakhand with employment opportunities. He emphasized that Uttarakhand has no shortage of talent and the state government is giving special attention to skill development of its youth. Skill programs are being designed not only to meet domestic needs but also in line with international requirements.
The Chief Minister further highlighted that alongside skill development, the state government is also providing foreign language training to ensure youth are job-ready for international opportunities. He noted that many young people from Uttarakhand are already working abroad after receiving skill development and foreign language training facilitated by the government.
On this occasion, Cabinet Minister Shri Saurabh Bahuguna, Principal Secretary Shri R. Meenakshi Sundaram, Secretary Shri Shailesh Bagoli, Shri Vinay Shankar Pandey, Shri C. Ravishankar, along with members of the German delegation including Raunheim Mayor Mr. David Rendel, Advisor to Germany’s Foreign Investment Cell Mr. Saurabh Bhagat, and CEO of Innovation Hub RheinMain Mr. Stephan Wittekind were present.
