A Science Park is being established with the objective of developing a scientific outlook and a spirit of innovation among children and youth. The Gangrel area of Dhamtari district is already a major tourist center. Through the Science Park, a unique confluence of education and tourism will be seen here. Its purpose is that children of the district should not only study science in books but also understand it by touching, seeing, and experimenting. This park will not only become an inspiring site for students but also for common citizens and tourists. From the Science Park, a scientific outlook and a spirit of innovation will develop in the coming generation, which is an important step in the direction of quality education.

The construction of the Science Park is being done at Barua Garden, situated at Gangrel of Pt. Ravishankar Reservoir Project in Dhamtari district. Gangrel Reservoir is a major tourist spot of the state, where every year thousands of tourists and students come for excursions. Keeping this in mind, the Science Park is being constructed to present science in an interesting and practical way. In this park, 28 outdoor and 40 indoor equipment have been installed. Being automated and interactive, it will not only be a center of attraction for students but also for common citizens and tourists.

Open-air exhibitions and models explaining scientific principles such as gravity, light, sound, energy transformation, lever, and pulley have been placed in the open environment, which will be a major center of attraction for children interested in science. Here there are such models which students can experience the basic concepts of science by touching, rotating, or experimenting. In the eco-friendly atmosphere of this garden surrounded by greenery, students will be able to learn while playing. Here, statues of famous scientists, a moving model of an artificial satellite, wave motion, skeletal system, infinite path, black hole demonstration, sound transmission, functioning of the human eye, and color mixing-based models have been installed.

This Science Park will be very useful for educational tours and study visits. Here, complex concepts of science will be understood in a simple and entertaining way. This will promote curiosity, logical thinking, and the spirit of innovation among students. Along with this, the park will also give a new identity to the tourism of Dhamtari district. The Science Park located at Barua Garden is going to become a center of knowledge, entertainment, and tourism for Dhamtari district. The Collector of Dhamtari informed that this initiative to present science in a simple and interesting way will not only inspire children but also give a new identity to the district in the field of education and tourism. In the coming times, this park will prove to be a major center of attraction not only for Dhamtari but also for students and tourists of the entire state.
