Rajasthan CM Pushes Major Development Agenda in Delhi Meetings

Chief Minister’s New Delhi Visit: CM Bhajanlal Sharma’s Significant Initiative to Shape Rajasthan’s Development; Holds Talks with Union Ministers on Urban Development, Energy, Water Projects and Skill Development — Key Discussions on Strengthening Power Evacuation for Solar Potential; Reviews Ferozepur Feeder Relining & Ramjal Setu Link Projects

Jaipur, Nov 2025 — Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma on Thursday met Union Energy, Housing & Urban Affairs Minister Manohar Lal, Union Jal Shakti Minister C.R. Patil, and Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Skill Development & Entrepreneurship and Minister of State for Education Jayant Chaudhary in New Delhi. During these meetings, the Chief Minister held extensive discussions on accelerating Rajasthan’s development through improvements in urban growth, energy, water projects, and skill development.

During his meeting with Union Minister Manohar Lal, the Chief Minister also held a high-level review with senior officials. Keeping in view Rajasthan’s immense potential to help India achieve its national solar energy targets, the two sides held meaningful discussions on strengthening the state’s power evacuation infrastructure.

Tower Base Compensation Increased Up to 400% of DLC Rates

Officials informed that in the interest of farmers, tower base compensation has been increased up to 400% of the DLC rate. Corridor compensation has also been fixed at 30% in rural areas, 45% in municipal areas, and 60% in municipal corporation areas.

Reduction in DISCOM AT&C Losses

It was also highlighted that AT&C losses are consistently declining. Jaipur and Ajmer DISCOMs have now reduced losses below the 15% level. Progress under the RDSS scheme has also improved.

The Chief Minister expressed gratitude to the Centre for supporting Rajasthan’s energy development. He also discussed the approval of the Detailed Project Report (DPR) for Jaipur Metro Phase-2.

Meeting with Union Jal Shakti Minister

In his discussion with Union Jal Shakti Minister C.R. Patil, the Chief Minister reviewed water supply, water conservation, and ongoing water projects in the state. Significant progress was discussed regarding the Ferozepur Feeder Relining Project and the Ramjal Setu Link Project. The success of the state’s “Karmabhumi to Matrubhumi” campaign was also appreciated.

Meeting with Union Skill Development Minister

Later, the Chief Minister met Union Minister Jayant Chaudhary, where both leaders discussed a roadmap to transform Rajasthan into a Skill Development Hub with the support of the Central Government.
