Health Revolution in Jashpur under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai
The district transformed in two years, major boost to modern healthcare facilities
Raipur, December 2025 : Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai, the health services of Jashpur district have witnessed historic transformation over the past two years. Once struggling with limited resources and lack of basic medical facilities, the district today has built a strong identity as one of the leading districts in the state—equipped with modern medical infrastructure, robust emergency services, and extensive welfare programmes. With the expansion of healthcare services across rural and urban areas, Jashpur’s landscape has completely changed. Earlier, residents of remote regions had to travel long distances even for basic treatment and safe deliveries. Today, advanced medical services are available within the district itself. Complex services such as dialysis, once unimaginable, are now becoming accessible to the people of the district.
Historic healthcare advancements in two years
Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai, several major decisions have strengthened the district’s health infrastructure. The Finance Department’s approval of ₹359 crore for the establishment of a medical college in Jashpur will prove to be a milestone for the district. In addition, the sanction of ₹32 crore for the construction of a 220-bed state-of-the-art hospital has laid the foundation for high-quality medical services. Construction of a modern hospital at a cost of ₹35 crore in the Akhil Bharatiya Kalyan Ashram campus is progressing rapidly, which will establish Jashpur as a major healthcare hub in the future. To promote nursing education, approval has been granted for the construction of a nursing college building at a cost of ₹8.78 crore, ensuring permanent availability of trained nursing staff in the district.
Priority to maternal and child health
Strengthening maternal and child healthcare services, a 50-bed hospital is under construction in Kunkuri at a cost of ₹8.77 crore. Additionally, the district’s healthcare setup has been enhanced with approval for a physiotherapy college costing ₹14 crore and a naturopathy building in Kunkuri costing ₹2.62 crore. Under the initiative of Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai, the Satya Sai Maternity and Child Hospital will soon be established at Farsabahar headquarters, benefitting residents of the district as well as neighbouring states—especially people of the Naglog region. These advancements are set to become a boon for public health.
Emergency services receive major upgrade
On the Chief Minister’s directives, emergency medical services in the district have expanded significantly. To ensure immediate assistance during medical emergencies, 10 new 108 Sanjeevani ambulances have been added, bringing the total to 24 life-saving vehicles. Additionally, 18 ambulances under the 102 Mahatari Express service are ensuring timely hospital access and safe deliveries for pregnant women. The availability of hearse vehicles in every development block has provided major relief to rural families during difficult times.
New health centres strengthen rural healthcare
Reinforcing the district’s health system at the grassroots level, approval has been granted for the construction of a Community Health Centre building in Kotba at a cost of ₹4.37 crore. Five new Primary Health Centres have also been approved in Petamara (Ankira) and Ganzhiadih of Farsabahar Tehsil, Kardega and Sirimkela of Duldula Tehsil, and Keradih of Kunkuri Tehsil, significantly improving rural healthcare services.
Today, Jashpur has entered a new era of healthcare progress. The historic efforts made over the past two years under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai are transforming the district into a strong, capable, and modern health model. This change reflects not only infrastructural development but also growing public trust and steps toward a safer future.
