Dhami Inaugurates Mahashivratri Fair at Vankhandi Mahadev Temple in Khatima
March 2026 : Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated the Mahashivratri fair organized at the Vankhandi Mahadev Temple by cutting the ceremonial ribbon. He also extended his greetings and best wishes to all devotees and the people of the state on the occasion of Maha Shivaratri.
The Chief Minister offered prayers at the temple and performed jalabhishek on the Shivling. During the ritual, he prayed for the happiness, peace, prosperity, and progress of the state.
On the occasion, Dhami said that a large number of devotees visit the Vankhandi Mahadev Temple every year. Keeping this in mind, he stated that a comprehensive plan would be prepared to develop the temple and improve facilities for pilgrims.
District Panchayat Chairman Ajay Maurya, Municipal Chairman Ramesh Joshi, Gambhir Singh Dhami, Gopal Singh Bisht, District Magistrate Nitin Singh Bhadauria, Senior Superintendent of Police Ajay Ganpati, members of the temple committee, and a large number of devotees were present during the event.
