Sports & Youth Services Minister Presides Over Tuipuiral Zirlai Pawl Freshers’ Social Event
Aizawl : The Tuipuiral Zirlai Pawl (TZP) General Headquarters, Aizawl, organized its Freshers’ Social titled ‘Hun Vawn Dik’ today at 11:00 AM at Chandmari YMA Hall. The event was presided over by Sports & Youth Services Minister Pu Lalnghinglova Hmar as the chief guest, with East Tuipui Constituency MLA Pu Ramthanmawia also present as a guest of honor.
In his address, Pu Lalnghinglova Hmar expressed his appreciation for the use of the theme ‘Hun Vawn Dik’ by the Tuipuiral Zirlai Pawl for the fresher’s event, emphasizing the importance of time management in the lives of students. He encouraged students to use their time wisely, reminding them that diligence and time management are keys to success. He also urged the students to work hard not only academically but also in developing other life skills, especially teamwork, which is crucial for future achievements.
The Minister further noted that the state government is committed to supporting all sections of society, stressing the importance of education and skill development. He also discussed the future goals of Mizoram in the context of the 2036 Olympics, noting the state’s efforts to prepare athletes and foster talent in various fields.
Pu Ramthanmawia, MLA of East Tuipui, in his address, expressed his gratitude towards the students of his constituency who are pursuing education in Aizawl. He mentioned that 39 students from East Tuipui have already received MLA Award Laptops as part of the government’s initiative to support education. He highlighted the importance of education in personal growth and encouraged students to strive for excellence.
The event was chaired by Pu Benjamin Rochhunga, Vice President of the TZP, while Pu C. Lalramchhana, General Secretary, presented a report. Pu K. Lalnunzama, Adviser to the TZP, delivered a speech to the freshers, and other speakers included TZP President Pu Lalnunsanga, Adviser Pu J. Lalmuanzuala, and Pu Lalthawhsaka Fanai, President of Tuichangral Zirlai Pawl.
During the event, a special recognition ceremony took place to honor Pu PC Zirthanga Pachuau, recipient of the Utkrisht Seva Padak Award, along with other distinguished individuals like Pu Lalhluna, a retired teacher, and two medical doctors, Dr. K. Lalmuanawmi and Dr. Nianglunkimi.
Several students were also awarded for their academic excellence, including rank holders in various fields. Zodinpuii, who secured 1st position in MA (Education), and Lalramhluni, who ranked 2nd in D.El.Ed., were among those honored. MA Gold Medalist Zodinpuii and six distinction holders in the HSLC and HSSLC exams were also given laptops by MLA Pu Ramthanmawia.
Tuipuiral Zirlai Pawl, founded in 1986, has now organized 16 Freshers’ Social events.
