‘Prime Minister Housing Scheme (Rural)- Pucca house for every poor family
Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural) is an ambitious scheme of the government, which aims to provide permanent houses to poor families living in rural areas. The main goal of this scheme was to provide permanent houses to every poor family, but this program is still going on and efforts are being made to extend its benefits to more and more eligible people. Under the scheme, financial assistance is provided to the beneficiaries for housing construction so that they can build safe and permanent houses.
Recently, in Bemetara district, the process of approval of housing to the beneficiaries under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural) is being done after the resolution passed by the Gram Sabha and physical verification. This process is completely transparent and automated, in which eligible beneficiaries are being selected on the basis of permanent waiting list and surveys conducted earlier. The names of these beneficiaries have been finally approved, and no change is possible in it.
In Bemetara district, under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural), from the year 16-17 to 22-23, 30,940 houses have been completed out of 32,424 sanctioned houses. In the same year 24-25, 14545 houses have been sanctioned to eligible beneficiaries against the target of 25087 Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural). A total of 53 crore 83 lakh 20 thousand rupees have been released so far at the rate of first installment of 40 thousand rupees.
According to the scheme, eligible beneficiaries do not need to contact officials or employees for any kind of approval. The entire process of the scheme has been designed in such a way that eligible persons automatically get housing approval. Also, the amount of financial assistance given under the scheme is also deposited directly in their bank accounts. This scheme is completely based on digital and transparent process, in which there is no scope for corruption or fraud.
However, in recent times it has been observed that some unscrupulous people are trying to take advantage of this scheme. They are trying to dupe the beneficiaries by making false claims that they can get their name added to the list or speed up their approval process. It is extremely important to be cautious of such persons, as this is a completely fake claim. It is not possible for any officer, employee or person to make any kind of change in the approval process of the scheme. Therefore, if any person or officer claims that he can add someone’s name to the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Gramin), he is completely lying.
It is often seen that some people fall prey to fraudsters due to lack of information about the scheme. Many times unknown persons call the beneficiaries and tell them that they can get their name added to the scheme, provided they provide some amount of money. In such situations, beneficiaries should be extremely cautious and should not respond to any such call or message. Do not share any information related to the scheme with any unknown person, as it may be a fraud.
If a beneficiary receives any such call or message, he should immediately lodge a complaint at the police station. Apart from this, beneficiaries can contact the District Panchayat’s telephone number +91-07824-222609 during office hours and inform about such cases. The administration is also keeping a strict watch on such cases of fraud and strict action is being taken against the culprits.
It is also worth mentioning here that the approval process of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Gramin) is completely automated and data-based. Any kind of manual intervention is not possible in it. To ensure transparency and fairness in the selection of beneficiaries, the final list of names is prepared on the basis of the resolution passed by the Gram Sabha and physical verification. This ensures that only those people avail the benefits of the scheme who are actually eligible for it.
The government has made a strong system of monitoring and investigation at various levels to successfully implement this scheme. Its purpose is to ensure that no eligible beneficiary is deprived of the benefits of the scheme and ineligible people cannot take unfair advantage of it. Along with this, it is also necessary for the general public to be aware so that they can avoid any kind of fraud and become the real beneficiaries of the scheme.
Under the ‘Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural), housing approval is given to eligible beneficiaries through a completely transparent and fair process. No change can be made in this by any officer, employee or outsider. If any person or officer claims that he can add someone’s name to the list, then he is lying. Beneficiaries should not fall into any such trap and immediately complain if they receive a call or message from any unknown person.
The government is taking strict action on such fraud cases and ensuring that the beneficiaries of the scheme get the full benefit of the scheme. The public should also increase their awareness and be alert to avoid any kind of misinformation or fraud.
