Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar: Essential Development Works to be Given Top Priority for the Public Good
Nashik : Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar stated that development works would be given the highest priority to ensure the availability of essential services and facilities, keeping the fundamental needs of citizens in mind. The foundation stone for various development works was laid by Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Pawar today at Syed Prinpy in the Devlali constituency. He was speaking at the event organized for this purpose.
Present at the occasion were MLAs Saroj Ahire, Manikrao Kokate, Dilip Bankar, Hiramman Khoskar, former MP Devidas Pingale, Sarpanch Bhausaheb Dhikle, along with officials and citizens.
Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Pawar mentioned that the Devlali constituency is divided into three parts: rural, urban, and cantonment. For roads, health services, and essential development works in all three areas, funds amounting to crores of rupees have been made available in the past two and a half years. The cabinet has approved the establishment of the District and Sessions Court in Nashik Road. This court will facilitate citizens and save time. A river-linking project worth 1,500 crores has also received approval, which will provide water resources to drought-prone areas in the district, Mr. Pawar added.
Today, the foundation stone was laid for the concreting of roads connecting State Highway 37 at the 10th mile—Pimpiri Syed, Lasalgaon, Hinganevade, Kotmagav, Jakhori, Chandgiri, and Shinde NH 50—and the necessary funds have been sanctioned for this as well. Quality work on these roads is expected to be completed within one and a half years. Additionally, work on water supply roads at necessary locations will also be undertaken. Mr. Pawar mentioned that efforts would be made to approve the repair of the power generator at Ekalahare and to give approval for the 660 crore proposal for the Sant Shresth Nivruttinath Maharaj project.
Mr. Pawar further stated that various government schemes are being implemented for the development of all sectors. The government has paid electricity bills of 15,000 crores for 44 lakh farmers, providing them free electricity. From October 1, a guaranteed price of 35 rupees has been announced for cow’s milk. Through the Chief Minister’s beloved sister scheme, which is leading among government schemes, benefits have been provided to 2.4 million women from a fund of 46,000 crores. He mentioned that efforts were made to lift the ban on onion exports by following up with the central government. In the future, farmers will have the option of using solar power through solar pumps, providing them with 91,500 megawatts of electricity, Mr. Pawar stated.
A rural hospital will be constructed in Mauje Shinde with a budget of 34 crores, which will ensure timely primary treatment for patients involved in accidents on the Nashik-Pune highway. This year, the Devlali Cantonment Board has received 5 crores through the District Planning Committee, which will facilitate various works, including road construction in Lam Road and Devlali city. Additionally, MLA Saroj Ahire stated in her opening remarks that a fund of 40 crores has been approved for the memorial of Swatantryaveer Savarkar in Bhagur.
At this event, MLAs Manikrao Kokate and Sarpanch Bhausaheb Dhikle also expressed their thoughts.
