Blast Reported Near CRPF School in Rohini, Delhi

A quiet Sunday morning in Rohini, Delhi, was disrupted by a loud explosion outside the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) school. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, but the blast caused damage to nearby shops and a car. Following the incident, the Delhi Police cordoned off the area, and a fire brigade team was dispatched to the scene.

The explosion occurred around Prashant Vihar and appeared to involve a crude bomb, though the exact cause remains uncertain. The Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) is conducting a thorough investigation to determine the details. Additionally, the Delhi Police’s Special Cell, known for handling terror-related cases, has joined the investigation.

Preliminary findings suggest no indication of a terror link, but the FSL team will confirm the nature of the blast after completing their analysis. Authorities have called in a crime investigation team, FSL experts, and a bomb disposal squad to inspect the site. The fire department was alerted at 7:50 a.m., and two fire trucks arrived shortly thereafter.

The incident was first reported at 7:45 a.m. when a PCR call alerted the Delhi Police. Upon arrival, officers noticed damage to the school wall and a distinct foul odor in the area. The blast also shattered windows of nearby shops and a parked car. In response, the police and fire teams are conducting a detailed examination, including checking the sewer line and reviewing CCTV footage from the vicinity. The National Security Guard (NSG) has also been notified and may arrive to assist with the investigation.

Sources from the FSL indicated that the material used in the explosion resembled that of a crude bomb. However, a conclusive report is awaited to confirm these findings. While no injuries occurred, the impact on the school wall, shop windows, and parked vehicles underlined the need for a comprehensive investigation.

The area remains secured, with multiple agencies working together to ensure the safety and security of residents. The investigation continues as authorities explore all possible angles to identify the cause and prevent future incidents.
