By-Election Dates Confirmed for 6 West Bengal Assembly Seats
Kolkata : As per notification no. 4421-F(P2), the Government of West Bengal has announced the dates for the by-elections in six Assembly constituencies that remained vacant following the recently concluded Parliamentary elections. The constituencies are:
1. 6 – Sitai (Reserved for Scheduled Caste)
2. 14 – Madarihat (Reserved for Scheduled Tribe)
3. 104 – Naihati
4. 121 – Haroa
5. 236 – Medinipur
6. 251 – Taldangra
The Honorable Governor, Shri C. V. Ananda Bose, is pleased to declare the polling day a public holiday under Section 25 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881, for all government offices, organizations, undertakings, corporations, boards, statutory and local bodies, and educational institutions located within these Assembly constituencies.
