Sinlung Hills Council 2024 Election Outcome

Aizawl : The elected members of the Sinlung Hills Council 2024 officially took the Oath of Affirmation yesterday at Pisapui Hall, Aizawl DC Office. The First Sitting of the Council also took place, during which the Chairman, Deputy Chairman, Chief Executive Member, four Executive Council Members, and two Nominated Members were elected.

The oath-taking ceremony was presided over by Pi K. Vanlalruati, Secretary of the Sinlung Hills Council, who outlined the procedures for the event. Following this, as per the authority granted to the Mizoram government, Er. Lalhriatpui, Deputy Commissioner of Aizawl, officiated the selection of the Pro-tem Chairman in accordance with Section 13(1) of the Sinlung Hills Council Act 2018. Consequently, Pu Lalhmingthanga from 5-Ratu Constituency was unanimously elected as the Pro-tem Chairman. He administered the oath of affirmation to all 12 elected members.

In compliance with Section 13(2) of the Sinlung Hills Council Act 2018, the Pro-tem Chairman supervised the oath-taking ceremony for all elected members.
