Deputy Speaker meets Mizoram Inter-Village Football Championship 2024 Champion Team in Kolasib

Kolasib : The Deputy Speaker of Mizoram Legislative Assembly, Pu Lalfamkima, met with the Champion Team of the Mizoram Inter-Village Football Championship 2024, Kolasib Joint VC team, during a ceremony held at the Kolasib DC office.

Pu Lalfamkima praised the team, highlighting that Kolasib has become well-known for football. He mentioned that although the team had not performed well at the state level in recent years, their performance in this year’s tournament and their victory as champions was a significant achievement. He noted that many young players from Kolasib, including their parents, had been involved in the tournament, bringing great pride to the district.

The Deputy Speaker emphasized the importance of discipline and teamwork in sports, encouraging the team to continue their hard work and dedication, as it would help not only in sports but in all areas of life.

Pu Robert C Lalhmangaiha, the Kolasib District Commissioner, also expressed appreciation for the team’s success and said that the Kolasib District team had performed exceptionally well. He mentioned that such achievements are a source of pride and inspire future generations.

The Champion Team, Kolasib Joint VC, was awarded a trophy and a cash prize of Rs. 2 lakh, along with the Fair Play award and a cash prize of Rs. 50,000.

In attendance at the event were members of the Kolasib Joint VC team, representatives from local NGOs, government officials, and community members.
