Over 200 Ganga Sevadoots lead Cleanliness Awareness Rally in Mahakumbh Mela area

Mahakumbh Nagar : The Yogi government is committed to making Mahakumbh 2025 a clean, plastic-free, and grand event. As part of the ‘Swacch and Swasth Mahakumbh’ campaign, a cleanliness awareness rally was organized to inspire devotees and promote eco-friendly practices.

More than 200 Ganga Sevadoots and Swachhata Mitras participated, carrying posters, banners, and chanting slogans to spread the message of cleanliness and sustainability.

To uphold this vision, approximately 15,000 sanitation workers and over 1,800 Ganga Sevadoots are tirelessly maintaining cleanliness across the fairgrounds, funded by the Swachh Kumbh initiative under the guidance of CM Yogi Adityanath. Single-use plastic has been entirely banned in the Mahakumbh area.

The rally began at the Kali Marg – Jawahar Lal Nehru Marg junction in Sector 1, passing through Lal Marg, Triveni Marg, Sangam Vapasi Marg, and Akshay Vat Marg, before concluding at Sangam Nose in Sector 3.

The rally emphasized the importance of using toilets and dustbins, avoiding single-use plastics, and encouraging public participation in achieving a clean and green Mahakumbh.

Rally organizer SDM Ashutosh highlighted that such initiatives are conducted regularly across various sectors to inspire devotees to actively support the Clean Mahakumbh campaign
