Buddha’s Message for World Peace is Relevant: Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Dev Sai

Raipur : Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Dev Sai stated that in today’s world, where the entire globe is struggling with material competition, the messages of peace and compassion from Lord Buddha are more relevant than ever. To advance humanity and peace, it is essential to follow the path shown by Buddha. He added that Buddha’s messages have had a profound impact in Chhattisgarh, where people of all religions live in harmony, brotherhood, and unity.

Chief Minister Mr. Sai made these remarks while addressing the 32nd International Buddhist Conference held at the famous Pragya Giri pilgrimage site in Dongargarh. The event was attended by a large number of Buddhist monks, scholars, and followers from across the country and the world.

In his address, Chief Minister Mr. Sai emphasized that Chhattisgarh is an exemplary model of religious harmony. The ancient Buddhist sites in the state, especially Sirpur, hold special significance, where the historical heritage of Buddhism is still preserved. Similarly, the Manpur region in northern Chhattisgarh is home to a large number of Buddhists and is developing into a major Buddhist tourism destination.

He further mentioned that the Chhattisgarh government is committed to the overall development of the state, with tourism being an important component. The state’s natural beauty and cultural diversity make it a special attraction for tourists. The state government is continuously working to establish Chhattisgarh as a major tourism hub. In this regard, the state has been included under the Prasad Scheme of the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, which is facilitating the development of tourism infrastructure in the region.

Chief Minister Mr. Sai extended a warm welcome to the Buddhist monks, scholars, and followers from both India and abroad who attended the International Buddhist Conference and expressed his gratitude to them. On this occasion, Rajnandgaon Member of Parliament Mr. Santosh Pandey and Pragya Giri Trust Committee President Mr. Vinod Khandekar also addressed the gathering. The event was attended by the Secretary of Pragya Giri Trust Committee Mr. Shailendra Dongre, Treasurer Mr. Suresh Kumar Sahare, and a large number of Buddhist followers.
