True Leadership Lies in Serving the People, Not Seeking Power
In a time when political ambitions often overshadow genuine public service, one leader’s philosophy stands out — that leadership is not about titles or positions, but about the unwavering commitment to people. “There is no room for compromise in running the party,” he says. “The party is like a mother—it upholds honor and dignity.”
With the BJP firmly in power at the Centre, the leader emphasized the need for the party to rise in Telangana as well. He believes the people of Telangana see the BJP as a party capable of delivering strong leadership. To match their expectations, he calls for a shift in attitude — leaders must mirror the party’s vision through their conduct, work ethic, and heartfelt connection with the people.
He candidly expressed how he gauges his public connect: “If ten people don’t visit my home, I feel insulted. Usually, 300 to 400 people come every day. If only 30 show up, I introspect — where did I go wrong?” For him, the number of people walking through his doors is a reflection of his service.
He draws a simple yet powerful comparison: “To a doctor, the patient is VIP; to a lawyer, the client is VIP. For me, it’s the people who are the VIPs.”
According to him, a leader who isn’t surrounded by the public is no leader at all. “If people don’t come to you, you’re not serving them. You’re not a leader — just someone sitting idle.”
True leadership, he says, is about earning trust — “A leader should inspire such confidence that if someone is pricked by a thorn, they believe he’d pull it out with his own teeth.”
This is the essence of people-first politics — compassion, service, and connection.
