Union Minister Prataprao Jadhav Visits Jammu & Kashmir; Interacts with Stranded Tourists

Buldhana : Following the cowardly terrorist attack on tourists in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, Union Minister Prataprao Jadhav personally visited the region to meet and interact with the stranded tourists. Smiles returned to their faces when he informed them that special railway arrangements had been made to ensure their safe return home. These tourists are expected to be brought to Delhi today.

Terrorists had targeted tourists in Jammu and Kashmir, opening fire on them. The brutal attack claimed the lives of 28 Indian tourists, including six from Maharashtra. Many others were stranded in various parts of Jammu and Kashmir and were gripped with fear due to the prevailing situation. They and their families had been pleading for arrangements to return home as soon as possible.

Approximately 49 tourists from Buldhana district were in Jammu and Kashmir for sightseeing. All of them are reported to be safe. On the morning of April 24, Union Minister Prataprao Jadhav reached Jammu and Kashmir. Reassuring the tourists, he said, “The government stands with you. Don’t be afraid—arrangements are being made by the central government to help you return home.” His words brought visible relief and smiles to the faces of those present. These tourists are scheduled to leave for Delhi today at 3 PM, after which they will be sent to their respective hometowns via trains.

Special railway coaches have been reserved for their journey home. Many tourists and their relatives had contacted the public relations office of Union Minister Jadhav. In response, he coordinated with the Home Ministry to facilitate all necessary support to ensure the safe return of the stranded tourists.
