Women Thank Chief Minister Eknath Shinde for Budgetary Provisions
Mumbai: Women from various sectors expressed their gratitude to Chief Minister Eknath Shinde by tying rakhi, thanking him for the relief measures introduced in the state budget. Chief Minister Shinde received this unique gesture warmly.
Today, women from diverse fields gathered in the courtyard of Vidhan Bhavan. The budget presented yesterday in the legislature included several provisions benefiting women. These decisions brought significant relief to women across the state, prompting them to wave and tie rakhi to Chief Minister Shinde in appreciation.
On this occasion, Chief Minister Shinde stated, “Our budget includes numerous measures aimed at providing relief to the women of our state. We have promptly implemented the Chief Minister Majhi Bahin Yojana, which will benefit over two and a half crore women starting from July 1. Under this scheme, each woman will receive fifteen hundred rupees per month.”
“The Chief Minister’s Annapurna Yojana will also be launched, providing three free cylinders annually to women. We aim to empower 25 lakh women to become ‘Lakhpati Didis’ and have increased the working capital for women in self-help groups from 15 thousand to 30 thousand rupees. Additionally, we have committed to offering free education to girls up to higher education levels and distributing ten thousand pink rickshaws to women. Moreover, we have already provided up to 50 percent free travel in ST buses for women,” Chief Minister Shinde added, assuring continued support to all the mothers and sisters of the state as “Chief Minister Bhauraya.”
Chief Minister Shinde expressed his gratitude to all the women for tying rakhi on this occasion. Minister Dadaji Bhuse, MLA Pratap Sarnaik, MLA Narendra Bhondekar, and numerous women from various sectors were present at the event.
