Commissioner of Medical Education Smt. Shikha Rajput Tiwari Inspects Ambedkar Hospital
Raipur : Commissioner of Medical Education, Smt. Shikha Rajput Tiwari, conducted an inspection of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Memorial Hospital to review the healthcare services being provided to patients. During her visit, she examined various hospital facilities including the registration counter, Radiodiagnosis (X-ray) department, DSA block, Obstetrics and Gynecology ward, Neonatal Care Unit (Nursery), HDU ward, Cancer OPD, Chemotherapy room, and also reviewed the proposed site for the upcoming 700-bed integrated hospital.
She gathered information about the condition and functionality of medical equipment installed in different departments. Smt. Tiwari also assessed the healthcare services and food arrangements provided to admitted patients. She inspected the hospital kitchen, evaluating its cleanliness and the quality of food being served.
In addition, she collected detailed information about the filled and vacant positions of doctors, nursing staff, technicians, and Class IV employees across various departments. She also held discussions with officials regarding contract appointments under alternative arrangements in departments that urgently require human resources.
Smt. Shikha Rajput Tiwari emphasized that medical care is an essential service and that all officers and staff must remain fully committed to delivering quality treatment to patients.
Present during the inspection were Dr. Vivek Chaudhary, Dean of the Medical College, Dr. Santosh Sonkar, Superintendent of Ambedkar Hospital, along with other hospital officials and staff.
