CM Bhajanlal Reviews Border Security, Bans Drones & Fireworks

Chief Minister Reviews Home Department – State Government Analyzing Current Situations Thoroughly, Ensuring Security of the State and Its Citizens, Coordination with Central Government and Army Required for Necessary Actions, Strict Action Against Rumor Mongers, Private Drones and Fireworks Banned – CM Shri Bhajanlal Sharma

Jaipur : In view of the rising tensions between India and Pakistan, Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma is continuously holding high-level meetings to monitor the situation and review security arrangements. On Friday, he chaired a high-level review meeting of the Home Department at the Chief Minister’s Office.

Addressing the meeting, the Chief Minister stated that Rajasthan, being a border state, is sensitive from a security perspective. The state shares over a thousand kilometers of international border with Pakistan. He mentioned that the state government is thoroughly analyzing the current situation and ensuring the security of the state and its citizens. He assured that essential supplies, including food grains and medicines, are available in adequate quantities. To enhance security in border districts, additional units of the RAC, Home Guard, and SDRF are being sent. In addition, secretaries have been assigned to these districts to ensure compliance with all directives by coordinating with local authorities.

Shri Sharma instructed the officials to establish adequate coordination with the Ministry of Home Affairs, central agencies, and the Army to take necessary actions. He emphasized that personnel transferred to border districts should assume their duties immediately. He also suggested taking the help of retired staff and volunteers if needed. Additionally, he directed the prevention of black-marketing of food grains and other essential goods.

Vigilance is Security – Keep an Eye on Suspicious Individuals

The Chief Minister emphasized that vigilance is the key to security. Therefore, the security of strategically important buildings, key institutions, religious places, and other significant structures should be further strengthened. He also instructed tightening security at tourist sites and crowded areas, ensuring strict surveillance. He advised keeping a close watch on suspicious individuals and conducting thorough interrogations.

Encourage Public to Follow Advisory

Shri Sharma instructed officials to coordinate with relevant agencies to regulate movement on roads and railways in border districts and ensure the implementation of blackouts as necessary. He suggested using social media and other communication channels to inform the public about blackouts and mock drills to avoid confusion. He emphasized encouraging the public to adhere to administrative orders and the advisories issued by both the central and state governments. Authorities should also prevent the spread of rumors by monitoring even the smallest incidents. He directed strict action against those spreading rumors and false information.

Complete Ban on Private Drones and Fireworks

Shri Sharma directed the officials to ensure strict compliance with the ban on the operation of private drones in border districts. He also instructed issuing advisories to hold wedding ceremonies during the day, and imposing a complete ban on other crowded events and fireworks.

Present at the meeting were Chief Secretary Shri Sudhanshu Pant, Director General of Police Shri U.R. Sahoo, Additional Chief Secretary (Home), along with senior officials from the Chief Minister’s Office and the Home Department.
