President plants Rudraksha sapling at MGUG campus
Gorakhpur : President Droupadi Murmu planted a Rudraksha sapling at the Mahayogi Gorakhnath University (MGUG) campus in Gorakhpur on Tuesday, marking a symbolic gesture during the foundation stone laying and inauguration ceremony held at the university.
The tree plantation took place before the stage proceedings began, becoming a memorable moment etched into the heart of the campus. During the formal ceremony, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath honored the President with a memento as a token of respect. Governor Anandiben Patel also presented her with the first copy of the university’s formulary and the first edition of the ‘Sankalp Se Siddhi’ policy document.
Speaking on the occasion, MGUG Vice-Chancellor Dr. Surinder Singh extended a warm welcome to the President and said the university is the embodiment of the vision of the late Mahants Digvijaynath Ji and Avedyanath Ji of the Gorakshpeeth.
