District-wide Enthusiasm Marks Massive Plantation Drive Under ‘One Tree for Mother’ and ‘Hariyalo Rajasthan’ Campaigns

Jaipur – In a landmark environmental initiative, Dausa district set a new record by planting 1.85 lakh saplings in a single day on Wednesday, showcasing a remarkable synergy between administrative efficiency and public participation. The campaign, inspired by the slogans “One Tree in Mother’s Name” and “Hariyalo Rajasthan,” saw overwhelming involvement from public representatives, district officials, and citizens across villages, with notable participation from women.

Led by District Collector Shri Devendra Kumar, the entire district witnessed a wave of enthusiasm. Villagers, along with MLAs and administrative officers, actively planted trees throughout the region. Shri Devendra Kumar personally participated in the plantation drive at Hemlyawala Gram Panchayat under Ramgarh Pachwara Panchayat Samiti.

Mahwa MLA Shri Rajendra Meena planted saplings in Hadiya village, Sikrai MLA Shri Vikram Banswal in Pilodi, and Bandikui MLA Shri Bhagchand Tankra in Ghoodlia and Kesari Singhpura. Their participation at the assembly-level events encouraged villagers to plant more saplings and nurture them into full-grown trees.

Addressing the district-level program at Hemlyawala, the Collector stated that as per the call of Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma, a massive plantation campaign is being undertaken across the state during this monsoon season. Dausa has set a target of planting 17 lakh saplings. He added that today’s synchronized plantation across all gram panchayats aimed to raise public awareness and make the initiative successful.

Smt. Kaushalya Devi, Pradhan of Ramgarh Pachwara, and Smt. Laxmi Rela also addressed the villagers, underlining the importance of plantation and urging everyone to contribute to the state government’s green mission.

During the event, officials observed plantations done using the Miyawaki technique.
