CM Pushkar Singh Dhami Champions ‘Vocal for Local’ with Heartfelt Gesture on Pilibhit Road

In a symbolic show of support for the ‘Vocal for Local’ campaign, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami continues to lead by example in promoting indigenous products and encouraging self-reliance. Responding to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s nationwide appeal to prioritize local goods for an Atmanirbhar Bharat, the Chief Minister is actively amplifying this message through his actions.

During a recent visit following the Bharamal Darshan, while passing through Pilibhit Road, CM Dhami made an impromptu stop at a roadside stall where a local vendor, Shri Mahatam, was roasting corn. In a warm and humble gesture, the Chief Minister not only roasted corn himself but also handed a roasted cob to an elderly woman who had been waiting. He inquired about her well-being and later tasted the corn, engaging with the vendor and passersby.

This simple yet impactful act underscored his commitment to empowering local workers and small businesses. CM Dhami emphasized that the true strength of the state lies in the dedication and hard work of its labourers and small traders. “It is our collective duty to honour the toil of every citizen,” he said. He also called upon the youth to focus on self-reliance, entrepreneurship, and the prioritization of locally made goods.

The Chief Minister’s hands-on approach not only reflects his humility but also sends a powerful message about leadership grounded in empathy and accessibility. His interaction with common citizens reiterates the idea that a truly empowered society is built on mutual respect between the people and their leaders.
