Procession from Shri Govind Dev Ji Temple in Jaipur – Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma Performs Ritual Worship and Flags Off the Yatra

Jaipur, Aug 2025 : On the second day of Shri Krishna Janmashtami, Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma formally inaugurated the grand procession from Shri Govind Dev Ji Temple on Sunday after performing traditional worship and rituals.

During the ceremony, Shri Sharma offered prayers and performed aarti before the sacred image of Jaipur’s presiding deity, Shri Govind Dev Ji, placed in the procession chariot, seeking prosperity and well-being for the state. On his arrival at the temple, the Mahant welcomed the Chief Minister. Shri Sharma also interacted warmly with the devotees present inside the temple and greeted them. The temple premises echoed with chants of devotion as a large gathering of devotees hailed the glory of Lord Govind Dev Ji.

The occasion was graced by Member of Parliament Smt. Manju Sharma, MLA Shri Balamukundacharya, Jaipur Municipal Corporation (Heritage) Mayor Smt. Kusum Yadav, along with other dignitaries and a large number of devotees.

It is noteworthy that every year, on the second day of Janmashtami, the Nandotsav is celebrated with grandeur at Shri Govind Dev Ji Temple. As part of the festivities, a grand procession passes through the city’s main routes, featuring several enchanting tableaux.
