Through the Chief Minister’s Medical Assistance Fund, 1,187 Patients in Amravati Division Receive Aid Worth ₹10.61 Crore

Mumbai, Aug 2025 : The Chief Minister’s Medical Assistance Fund and Charitable Hospital Help Desk has become a lifeline for economically weaker and poor patients in Maharashtra. In the Amravati division alone, as many as 1,187 patients received medical aid worth ₹10.61 crore over the past seven months through this fund.

As per the directives of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, a paperless and digital system has been established along with district-level cells, eliminating the need for patients to travel to the state secretariat. Patients are first advised to seek benefits under Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Jan Arogya Yojana, Ayushman Bharat, National Child Health Program, or schemes of charitable hospitals. If treatment is not possible under these, then applications can be made through hospitals affiliated with the Chief Minister’s Medical Assistance Fund Cell. This ensures proper use of government schemes and that funds reach the truly needy, explained Rameshwar Naik, Head of the CM Fund & Charitable Hospital Help Desk.
