Forest Minister Sanjay Sharma Visits Kalyanpur Doli Araba Area of Balotra District

Jaipur, Aug 2025 : Forest and Environment Minister Shri Sanjay Sharma on Saturday visited the Kalyanpur Doli Araba area of Balotra district. During his visit, he met villagers affected by polluted water and listened to their concerns.

Shri Sharma assured the villagers that a comprehensive action plan would be prepared to provide a permanent solution to this issue. He issued strict instructions to stop the inflow of contaminated water coming from Jodhpur and Pali.

The Minister said that strict action will be taken against industrial units that discharge untreated water into rivers and streams. He directed officials to immediately identify such units and halt their operations. Shri Sharma also referred to a new plan for pollution control, under which treated industrial wastewater would be reused for irrigating plants. This, he said, would not only prevent wastage of water but also benefit the environment.

Highlighting the seriousness of the issue, Shri Sharma stated that the state government is working on the polluted water problem with utmost priority.

On this occasion, Pachpadra MLA Dr. Arun Chaudhary apprised the Minister of the hardships faced by people in the affected areas and urged the state government to prioritize measures to stop pollution and provide relief to the public.
