Bring the Concept of ‘Amrit Vriksha’ to Every Household – Forest Minister Sudhir Mungantiwar
Prime Minister Narendra Modi introduced the concept of ‘Ek Paid Maw Ke Naam,’ and inspired by this, we have launched the ‘Amritvriksha Apya Dari’ initiative in our state. Forest Minister Sudhir Mungantiwar emphasized that this initiative, aimed at encouraging tree planting and cultivation, should be widely promoted through the ‘Amritvriksha’ app.
At the Sahyadri Guesthouse, Minister Mungantiwar unveiled the ‘Amritvriksha’ app. Present at the event were Principal Chief Conservator of Forests Mrs. Shomita Vishwas, Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (Budget Planning and Development) Kalyan Kumar, and other senior officials from the Forest Department in Nagpur.
Minister Mungantiwar highlighted that the app’s design should be user-friendly and free from technical difficulties to ensure its effectiveness. Through the Amritvriksha app, citizens can access information about tree planting activities and various aspects of forest conservation.
Mrs. Vishwas explained that the ‘Amrit Vriksha Apya Dari’ scheme is being implemented by the Forest Department. As part of this scheme, a forest festival will run until September 30, during which saplings will be sold to citizens at discounted rates. Additionally, government, semi-government, and private institutions will receive free saplings from Vanamahotsav for tree plantation activities. Information about the planted trees must be recorded in the app, with tree cultivation data collected over three consecutive years. Users will need to upload photos of the tree planting and subsequent growth stages. An online certificate signed by the minister will also be available through the app.
