Setu Suvidha Kendra Is a Bridge of Trust Connecting Government and Citizens – Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis
Inauguration of State-of-the-Art Setu Suvidha Kendras in Mumbai Suburban District by the Chief Minister
Mumbai, Nov 2025 : Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis inaugurated the state-of-the-art Setu Suvidha Kendras established in Borivali and Andheri in the Mumbai Suburban district. He said that the Setu Suvidha Kendra is not merely a service-providing mechanism but a bridge of trust connecting the government and the citizens. He added that these centres will serve as an important milestone in future-ready, technology-driven, transparent, and seamless smart governance.
These centres have been developed by the Mumbai District Collector’s Office to provide fast, transparent, and technology-based services to citizens, especially in the most densely populated district in the country. The inauguration took place after the Cabinet meeting. Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, Revenue Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule, Guardian Minister Adv. Ashish Shelar, Minister of State Mangal Prabhat Lodha, Cabinet members, Chief Secretary Rajesh Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary (Revenue) Vikas Kharge, Divisional Commissioner Dr. Vijay Suryawanshi, District Collector Saurabh Katiyar, and other officials were present.
This initiative has been successfully implemented as part of the government’s 100-day and 150-day administrative reforms and e-governance programme. These measures have had a positive impact on the timely delivery of RTS services in the district. The rate of timely service delivery, which was 59.48% in April 2025, has increased to 90.28% by October 2025. The target is to achieve 100% timely delivery at the administrative level.
The new Setu Suvidha Kendras are equipped with advanced facilities such as digital queue management, token systems, real-time status displays, and comfortable waiting areas. Their primary objective is to save citizens’ time and simplify service processes. Additionally, mobile Setu Suvidha Kendras have been launched in the district, enabling citizens to apply for services near their homes or through doorstep delivery.
To ensure that citizens do not have to visit the Setu office more than once—first to apply and then again to collect certificates—the government has launched the WhatsApp-based initiative ‘Aaple Sarkar, Aapla Daakhalā, Thēt Aaplyā Hātāt’ (Your Government, Your Certificate Delivered Directly to You). Through this, certificates can be received directly on WhatsApp while sitting at home. A WhatsApp chatbot service has also been introduced to make information about services easily accessible. Furthermore, 238 new Aaple Sarkar Service Centres have become operational, District Collector Saurabh Katiyar informed.
