Swami Ramanandacharya’s Message was that Person is known not by caste, but by deeds and devotion: CM Dr. Yadav
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said that Swami Shri Ramanandacharya Ji was a great saint of the medieval Bhakti movement who carried devotion to Lord Ram to the masses. At a time when society was divided by caste, class and social hierarchies, Ramanandacharya Ji fearlessly proclaimed that devotion is not the monopoly of any one section, Ram belongs to all. By founding the Ramanandi (Vairagi) sect, he laid the foundation of a tradition that made devotion simple, accessible and inclusive. The Chief Minister said that among Swami Ramanandacharya Ji’s disciples were great saints such as Kabirdas, Ravidas, Sena Nai, Dhanna Jat and Pipa, who gave a new direction to society. His message was clear, the path of devotion is the path of love. Liberation is possible for all through the name of Ram, and a person’s identity is determined not by caste, but by deeds and devotion.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was virtually addressing the event organised in Ujjain on the occasion of the 726th birth anniversary of Swami Ramanandacharya, from the State Airport in Bhopal. He assured that all possible support would be extended for the well-organised conduct of the anniversary celebrations.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav further said that Jagatguru Swami Ramanandacharya was not merely a saint or philosopher, but a pioneer of cultural renaissance, a proponent of social harmony, and a bridge between nirgun and sagun devotion. His teachings continue to guide Indian society on the path of equality, compassion and devotion. He stated that under the leadership of Narendra Modi, Lord Shri Ram is smiling in Ayodhya, while Mahakal Lok has emerged as a major centre of faith and attraction for devotees across the country. The flag of Sanatan culture, he said, is flying high everywhere.
The event held in Ujjain was attended by Mahant Rameshwar Das Ji, Mahant Vineet Giri, Mahant Mangaldas, Mahant Charandas, and a large number of devotees.
