L’Oréal to Launch World’s First Beauty-Tech GCC in Hyderabad
Davos, Jan 2026: In a landmark development for Telangana’s technology ecosystem, the Telangana Rising delegation, led by Chief Minister Shri A. Revanth Reddy, has secured a major Global Capability Centre (GCC) investment from L’Oréal Groupe. The global cosmetics giant will establish its world’s first beauty-tech GCC in Hyderabad, scheduled to be inaugurated in November 2026.
The announcement followed a meeting with L’Oréal CEO Shri Nicolas Hieronimus, who expressed enthusiasm for setting up a large-scale GCC in Telangana, highlighting the state’s conducive environment for innovation and global business. The Hyderabad GCC will serve as L’Oréal’s global hub for innovation, technology, AI, data analytics, and supply chain management, supporting the company’s digital transformation worldwide, with solutions developed in Hyderabad deployed across L’Oréal facilities globally.
The Chief Minister and IT & Industries Minister Shri Duddilla Sridhar Babu were invited by L’Oréal for the inauguration. Minister Sridhar Babu emphasized CM Revanth Reddy’s proactive role in bringing the investment to Telangana and assured the company of full government support, positioning Hyderabad as a leading GCC destination. He noted that the city, already home to Vanguard, Netflix, McDonald’s, Heineken, Costco, and Marriott GCCs, is now expanding into new sectors like beauty-tech, beyond its established strength in med-tech and health-tech.
The delegation also presented Telangana’s AI Innovation Hub (TAIH), drawing keen interest from L’Oréal. Special Chief Secretary Sanjay Kumar invited the company to explore potential future manufacturing investments in the state, to which the CEO responded positively, signaling long-term collaboration opportunities.
This strategic investment reinforces Hyderabad’s growing stature as a global technology and innovation hub, highlighting Telangana’s commitment to attracting high-value GCCs across emerging sectors, fostering innovation, employment, and global business integration.
